Product Ownership clinic

Speaker: Jasmina Nikolić and Tomislav Jukić.

The Product Owner is a crucial role in Scrum, at least when you ask a product owner. With the product vision always on their minds, their duties are to maintain and prioritize the product’s backlog as well as to communicate with the Scrum team and the stakeholders, all towards the goal of maximizing the workload that the Scrum team processes from sprint to sprint.

They may delegate part of this work to the development team, but not the responsibility. That remains the product owner’s. In that sense, the commission also must remain there’s. If it exists, then the Product Owner is it’s main representative.

The job of the product owner is certainly not easy. Stakeholders frequently have opposing demands, some are indecisive, and yet others want everything at once, while the team itself has it’s own needs. In order to be successful at their job, Product Owners need the support of their entire organization and particularly compliance with their decisions which are eloquently expressed through the Product Backlog.

The clinic is intended for all (active and future Product Owners as well as everyone engaged in SW development) who would like to get a first-hand insight of experiences and good practices from our „doctors“ and/or other participants. Everyone will have an opportunity to ask questions about this topic as well as offering answers based on personal or second-hand experiences, or even just pure agile methodology theory.
