In our ninth annual QED conference, we have decided to explore the IT evolution happening before our very eyes. The IT industry is constantly evolving – year by year, immense changes impact the field. New tools, methodologies and approaches are daily occurrences and keeping up with them takes a lot of creativity and innovation. Where does creativity come from, how does innovation spring to life, and what is our role in that process? All of us must continue to learn, but also implement what we have already learned in new and inventive ways. We are all in such a situation where we have to adapt our project management and our organizations’ culture with new approaches, in order to stay competitive in the ever-changing IT industry.

There are many examples of companies not being able to adapt to change and paying a high price for it. If we are to avoid that fate, we ourselves must evolve. How do we do that? We have to keep pace with changes in our environment while enticing creativity and innovation from within our companies. We must also bear in mind that they will not emerge out of the blue and that they shouldn’t be left only to inspired individuals – creating an environment where they can grow is one of the most crucial challenges facing today’s organizations.

Part of this year’s conference is also dedicated to topics about agile software development and how it is impacting major portions of the IT industry.

Through a series of lectures, workshops, and round table discussions as well as other innovative formats, QED will demonstrate to us how to give our organizations the chance to evolve and how to awaken the creativity within everyone – those who know they are creative, but also those who are about to remember that fact.
